Our latest paper "Comprehensive Identification and Spatial Mapping of Habenular Neuronal Types Using Single-Cell RNA-Seq" has been published in Current Biology in collaboration with Karthik Shekhar and Aviv Regev.
In this paper, Shristi and co. established a single cell RNA-seq protocol for zebrafish neurons that was used to profile the habenula region of the zebrafish brain. Through this method, they identified 18 different cell types and dozens of marker genes that were mapped onto a reference atlas to provide a resource for anatomical and functional studies. The study revealed that habenular neuronal cell types are conserved from larval to adult stages.
Congratulations Shristi!
