The lab is always looking for excellent people to join our artist colony of scientists. 

Masters and Bachelor students, if you are interested in any of the research questions in the lab and would like to do a project with us please contact Alex by email with a CV and university transcripts. Bachelor students can also apply to the Biozentrum Undergraduate Research Summer Program.

PhD students can join the lab directly or through the Biozentrum PhD Fellowships program (summer and winter call). We are looking for students with deep curiosity. If you’re interested in Alex’s lab, please email him directly with your CV and a brief statement of why you’d be interested in joining us.

The Schier lab provides Postdoctoral candidates a space to independently develop their own research directions within a supportive and interactive community. Many former Schier lab Postdocs have founded their own labs at top institutions around the world. We are continuously looking for highly motivated, curious people. So, if you are fascinated by embryogenesis or behaviour please contact Alex by email.
