Alix has graduated and accepted a position as a Research Scientist at IBM Watson in New York.
As a research scientist with IBM Innovations, Alix will be working on the Watson Discovery Advisor for Life Sciences solution. This platform uses text and data mining of the biomedical literature to discover novel insights into the relationships between genes, diseases and drugs. Some of the team projects include discovering new potential cancer therapies with the Baylor College of Medicine, repurposing drugs with Sanofi, and optimizing treatment options for cancer patients with the NY Genome Center.
